Hi, I’m Mary — a wife, mum of two, and an NZ- and internationally-trained Paramedical Tattoo Artist. My background in Travel, Tourism, Sales, and Learning & Development has given me the privilege of connecting with people from all walks of life, shaping how I care for and support my clients.

My journey into paramedical tattooing comes from personal experience. As a teen, I struggled with stretch marks and discovered these transformative treatments when I was searching for a solution — they changed my confidence and inspired me to help others feel the same.

One story that deeply shaped my mission was of a student who worried her self-harm scars would stop her from achieving her dream of becoming a flight attendant. It showed me just how life-changing this work can be..

At Smooth Ink Studios, I proudly work with Nue Conceal, a global leader in paramedical tattooing, known for its advanced medical-grade products that are EU REACH compliant also. Their founder, Bianca, whose Filipino heritage I also share, has been a huge source of inspiration through her innovation, passion, and commitment to advancing the industry.

I’m honoured to have been recognised with the Rising Star Award for my work in Inkless Scar Revision at the Industry Insiders Conference, as well as winning the Open Division at LABS NZ for my Brachioplasty scar revision.

Beyond the treatment room, I’m passionate about raising awareness of the life-changing impact of paramedical tattooing. I’ve been featured in Bump & Baby magazine, educating readers about these treatments, and have had the privilege of speaking with beauty and aesthetics schools throughout New Zealand to promote this growing field and inspire future practitioners. As well as contribute to the NZ Board of Skin Therapies.

As part of giving back, I donate a scar or stretchmark treatment to someone in need — because everyone deserves to feel confident in their skin
